About Litchfield Woods

We are extremely proud to tell you about our short term and post-acute care rehabilitation programs at Litchfield Woods . Both programs are for short term medical assistance, not available elsewhere, that may cover a variety of medical needs. The programs are specifically designed for adults who no longer need to be in an acute care hospital, but require individualized therapy and medical care before they can safely return home. Litchfield Woods' programs provide the necessary link between the acute care hospital and your return home.

Getting to Litchfield Woods

From Route 8, Northbound: Exit 44, Downtown Torrington. Turn left at end of exit ramp onto East Main Street. Proceed on East Main to fourth traffic light and turn right, then immediately left onto Water Street. At second light turn left onto Church Street. Proceed past small rotary on left and take next left onto Highland Avenue. Take sixth right onto Roberts Street, Litchfield Woods Health care Center is .4 miles on the left.

From Route 8, Southbound: Exit 44, Downtown Torrington. At end of exit ramp go straight through first traffic light, crossing East Elm Street. Turn right at next traffic light onto East Main Street. Proceed on East Main Street to third traffic light and turn right, then immediate left onto Water Street. Proceed as above.

From Litchfield Center: Take Route 63 North approximately 1 mile to Norfolk Road. Turn right onto Norfolk, then next right onto Weed Road, right onto Highland Avenue and left onto Roberts Street. Litchfield Woods is .04 miles on the left.
